Great River Community Credit Union Privacy
Policy
(Approved and Adopted May 21, 2001)
To insure that members can rely on the quality of products and
services which we provide, and to assure the continued privacy and
confidentiality of our members personal financial information, Great
River Community Credit Union hereby adopts and adheres to the following
privacy policy:
Information We Collect
We collect nonpublic information about members from some or all
of the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms,
such as your name, address, social security number, assests and
income.
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates,
or others such as your account balance, payment history, parties
to transactions and credit card usage; and,
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such
as your creditworthiness and credit history.
Information We Disclose
We may disclose all of the information we collect as described above
to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to
other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
We may also disclose information about you under other circumstances
as permitted by law.
Our Security Measures
We restrict access to nonpublic information about you to those employees
and board members who need to know that information to provide products
or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural
safeguards that comply with Federal regulations to guard your nonpublic
personal information.
We will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality
requirements.
We will not authorize any company to charge a member’s account
without their express consent.
We will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.
All members will be mailed a Notice of Privacy Practices for Great
River Community Credit Union annually.
All new members will receive a Privacy Notice when signing up as
a member.
All directors, officers, and employees shall sign a code of ethics
upon being elected or hired, to safegaurd the
confidentiality of our members personal and financial information.
It is the full intent of the Board of Directors of Great River
Community Credit Union to be in compliance and conform to the provisions
of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act., known as the Financial Services
Modernization Act. |
